Description
Intensive courses are recommended for students who wish
to acquire a comprehensive understanding of the Italian
language and culture. This program is a full immersion in
grammar, communication and culture and a total participation
and involvement in daily situations for an instant approach
to Italian life.
Levels
At the beginning of each language course students sit a
placement test which allows to evaluate their linguistic
competence and determine their most appropriate course level.
Language courses are divided into 3 levels with a maximum
number of eight students per class and a minimum number
of five. At the end of each course, students receive a certificate
of attendance stating the level achieved.
Beginners
This course level is appropriate for students with no or
little knowledge of Italian. In this course participants
learn the basic structures of the Italian language through
grammar, vocabulary and simple conversations about the most
common real life situations for an immediate contact with
the language.
Intermediate
This course level is a full-immersion program for students
who already have some knowledge of the Italian language,
but need further development of their grammatical and linguistic
skills. In this course participants deepen their grammatical
knowledge, broaden their vocabulary and improve their communication
competence through listening comprehensions, readings and
conversations about more complex topics and situations.
Advanced
This course level is appropriate for students who already
master the Italian language in all situations. Particular
attention is placed on advanced reading (newspapers, magazines,
critical essays, novels), writing (compositions both in
class and at home) and speaking (about complex themes and
situations) so that students can achieve a full and comprehensive
proficiency in all grammatical and linguistic aspects of
the Italian language.
