Tour description
This tour is a perfect introduction to the excellent wines and tasty products of the Veneto region. We'll pick you up directly at your hotel in the Treviso province or at Piazzale Roma in Venice and head towards the town of Valdobbiadene, known as capital of the Prosecco sparkling wine, and then on along the famous "Prosecco wine road" that gently sweeps through green hills covered with vineyards. We'll stop at one of the many wineries along the road to discover the secrets of Prosecco making directly by the producer. We'll see the vineyards and the cellars before pausing for a taste of this excellent wine accompanied by local cheeses and salamis. We'll then continue with a visit to a salami producer to learn how cured meats are made and used in the local cuisine and finally a cheese factory before taking a pause for lunch. In the afternoon we'll transfer in the heart of the Prosecco wine district, known as "Cartizze", where the superior prosecco wine is produced. We'll visit a famous vineyard and have a taste of Cartizze as well as other great vintages before heading back to our tour starting point after an unforgettable day out!
